    Melissa Koch, Registered Dietitian Melissa Koch is a Registered Dietitian with over 15 years of experience in women’s health, perinatal care, and pediatric nutrition. She earned her Bachelor of Applied Science in Nutrition and Food from Toronto Metropolitan University and then completed a graduate-level dietetic internship with Capital Health in Nova Scotia. Melissa also holds a Master’s in Adult Education and Community Development from OISE. She has spent much of her career with Toronto Public Health, supporting women and families with hormonal imbalances, fertility, prenatal and postnatal nutrition, and pediatric nutrition. Her expertise includes nutrition therapy for PCOS, thyroid conditions, insulin resistance, perimenopause, and menopause, and she helps families build healthy, sustainable eating routines. Melissa works collaboratively with clients to create flexible, personalized nutrition strategies that align with their unique goals and lifestyles.   • Cancellation Policy | Tulip Women's Health

    Cancellation/No Show Policy Please provide at least 72 hours notice to cancel an appointment as there are many other patients waiting for time with the doctors. If you need to cancel an appointment for Monday at 9am, you must contact the office before 9am on Friday. Failure to do so and not showing up to the appointment will result in a charge based on OMA recommended rates. You will receive a reminder email ahead of your appointment through a secure message. The office does not give reminder calls for appointments.

  • Prescription Renewals | Tulip Women's Health

    Prescription Renewal Policy There is a fee of $40 for prescription renewal without appointments, including lost or expired prescriptions, as this is not covered by OHIP. If needed, you are asked to follow-up for medication renewals, whether in person or virtually. Your physician will prescribe enough medication until the next evaluation and your future refills can be obtained from your family doctor. We will write a note to your family doctor facilitate this continuation of the prescription renewals. Medications periodically require review and monitoring to ensure they remain safe and appropriate for you. Physicians will not be responding to faxed renewal requests from your pharmacy.

    Dr. Andrea Palmer, MD, FACOG Dr. Andrea Palmer is an Oklahoma native turned reluctant Texan and now a future Canadian! Growing up as the granddaughter and niece of surgeons, her decision to become a physician came early in life. Having wonderful, strong female role models throughout her life has given her a passion for working with and caring for women, making Obstetrics and Gynecology a natural career for her. She graduated Magne Cum Laude from University of Oklahoma and attended Medical school and residency at OU Health Sciences center, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Palmer practiced in Oklahoma City at Lakeside Women’s Hospital for 7 years, serving as Chief of Staff before moving to Texas. In Fort Worth she practiced at FENOM Women’s Care where her clinical focus was in Robotic surgery. Dr. Palmer has attended and taught several advanced training programs with the DaVinci surgical system, and proctor other surgeons in the technique. After 15 years of full spectrum practice, she retired from Obstetrics in 2024. As a “Recovering Obstetrician” her clinical focus is Menopausal Medicine and office based Gynecology. She was privileged to serve as the Medical Director of Surgical Services for Andrews Women’s Hospital at Baylor All Saints since 2023 and joined the core faculty of our residency program in 2024. Dr. Palmer is a passionate advocate for women’s reproductive rights, LGBTQIA rights, and physician mental health and wellness. She is looking forward to relocating to Toronto where she will provide both gynecologic and family planning care. She has 2 brilliant teeangers, 2 standard poodles, and a cat who keep her busy and entertained while not at work.

She is a general gynecologist and an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at McMaster University. She is also a preceptor for nurse practioner students for D'Youville University. She wanted to make this website for a better access for patients as one of her passion is providing timely and reliable contraceptive care. Many doctors and nurse practioners come to Dr. Yuh to learn how to insert, remove, and replace IUDs and Implants as she is a preceptor for IUD and Implant for SOGC (Society of Obstetrician and Gynecologists of Canada).     For Physicians How long is the wait time for a referral? For non- urgent referrals, current wait time is about 1-2 months. We prioritize postmenopausal bleeding, abnormal pap/colposcopy, IUD, nexplanon, and perimenopause/menopause hormone therapy and pessary care. To ensure a timely appointment, the patient will be scheduled with the first available doctor in the clinic. If you want to request a specific doctor, please mention it in the referral. Please also indicate if you are part of FHO/FHT to avoid negation if scheduled with GP with women's health focus but not yet designation (Dr Yasin). Do you provide surgeries and care for pregnant patients? No, we only see office based gynecological patients. How can I get further training in IUD procedures other than through SOGC?     Dr. Denise Handscomb, ND Dr. Denise Handscomb is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor with over 10 years of experience supporting patients in reaching their health care goals. She is the co-owner of Abaton Integrative Medicine, in Oakville, and she has a special focus in women’s health, supporting women during peri-menopause, menopause, and pregnancy. Dr. Denise has completed additional training in prenatal care, pediatric care, environmental medicine, is a Naturopathic Doula who attends births and has met the College of Naturopaths of Ontario's Standard of Practice for Prescribing. This allows Dr. Denise to prescribe Menopausal Hormone Therapy (MHT) and provide comprehensive hormone support for women during the transitional years.
