Dr. Kathryn Gottschalk, MD, FACOG

Dr. Kathryn Gottschalk grew up in Michigan and after spending several years in Florida is thrilled to be returning to the Great Lakes. Dr. Gottschalk was initially drawn to obstetrics and gynecology because it is a specialty built on advocacy for women and her passion for women’s health has only grown over the years. It is a unique opportunity to support women as mothers and wives but also as the unique and wonderful individuals they are beyond those roles.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from John Carroll University before attending Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center where she was awarded recognition for excellence in family planning. She then completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine where she won Scholar of the Year award in each of her final two years. For the past seven years Dr. Gottschalk has provided full scope obstetric and gynecologic care, including robotic surgery, at the AdventHealth hospital system in Orlando, Florida.
Growing frustrated with the lack of support for perimenopausal and menopausal women, Dr. Gottschalk became a Certified Menopause Practitioner in June 2025. She and her family are excited to be relocating to the Greater Toronto Area where she will be provider office based gynecologic and menopause care.
Outside of medicine Dr. Gottschalk enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children including exploring the wonderful outdoor parks and recreational activities throughout the GTA. A child of the Great Lakes Dr. Gottschalk is greatly looking forward to reading by the fire during cold winter evenings.
